Open Door is a community resource and food program
Volunteers are needed as the Stop transitions
to reopening the space.
In order to invite the community back in after two years of pandemic shut down The Stop is going to need to recruit dozens of volunteers to help with reopening the space, cooking and serving meals, as well as supporting our foodbank. We love having volunteers from our community, volunteers who use our programming, and volunteers who are excited about bettering the world.
We ask volunteers to make a 4–6-month commitment of one shift a week. This allows our programming to run smoothly and offers the volunteer teams and community members some stability.
There are many benefits to volunteering with the stop (including TTC tokens, stamps toward groceries, access to our services and training opportunities) and many of our volunteers especially since COVID remark on how integral volunteering is to their emotional and mental wellbeing.
